So why would you want one? Well for starters, space is a consideration. You may have limited space and a standard greenhouse just won't do. If this is the case, one of the many portable greenhouse kits may be just what you need. Also related to space, since these can usually be put up and taken down in less than an hour, you can simply pack it away during the winter. There's no need to take up yard space with something you'll only be using for a few months. That space can be better used for other things when the weather turns cold.

Now there are some disadvantages. The less expensive kits are not made to be used in the winter. They will not protect your plants during the cold months unlike some permanent structures which are good year round. But you need a break from gardening every once in a while anyway.
